Danube Gorges

The Danube River runs through 10 countries and 4 capitals, from its source in the Black Forest Mountains to the Black Sea Delta. While the landscapes along the route are unique, the spectacular scenery found in the gorges is a special treat. Bazias is the starting point of the Danube Gorges. They end at the Iron Gates I hydroelectric plant about 150 kilometers downstream. Although it is difficult to pinpoint the most beautiful section, many of the most popular attractions can be found in the Danube Boilers area. You can enjoy stunning views, visit caves and monasteries or take a boat ride to see breathtaking mountain views
